Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring smooth flow of patient journey from admission to discharge.
Duties and Responsibilities
Liaise with both Local and International Insurance Companies to issue letters of guarantee for their clients.
Liaise with companies who have direct accounts with the Hospital.
Admitting, discharging and transferring both cash paying and credit patients.
Ensuring all admissions are done correctly by properly coding to the relevant company.
Upon request, make arrangements for patient transfers.
Monitoring of inpatient bills and advising insurance/other corporates when limits are reached.
Ensure all patients files are kept safely.
Ensure that doctors bills are attached to the relevant patients files.
Produce admissions and discharges report.
Ensure claim forms and preauthorization letters have been attached to the relevant files in the wards.
Follow up on doctors and patients to ensure they have filled and signed the claim forms and preauthorization forms.
Ensure doctors and patients have all the relevant NHIF forms and that they have filled and signed them properly.
Qualifications
Education
Professional qualifications such as CPA II, ACCA II
Certificate in Front Office /Customer Care Management/Client Relations/Public Relations
Computer literate.
Job Experience
Minimum 2-year work experience in service industry.
