Mshel Homes Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial strategy. The ideal candidate will manage budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and internal controls to support the company’s growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and company policies.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenditures to optimize financial performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Track financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support business growth by analyzing investment opportunities and financial risks.
- Develop financial models to evaluate business decisions and strategies.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Implement best practices in financial management and corporate governance.
Key Requirements:
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) is required.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in real estate or a related sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
