Machine Operator – 4 Positions

Overall Purpose of the Job:

  • Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to operate and maintain their assigned machinery. The successful candidate will ensure smooth and safe operation, perform basic maintenance tasks, and promptly report any machine faults or safety concerns. The role is crucial in meeting production goals while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

  • Operate assigned machines in a safe and efficient manner to ensure maximum productivity and minimize risk of injury or damage.

Safety & Maintenance Checks:

  • Conduct daily safety checks and participate in routine maintenance activities to keep machines in optimal working condition.

Cleaning:

  • Perform scheduled and as-needed cleaning of allocated machines.

Reporting Maintenance Needs:

  • Notify the Maintenance Team of any required maintenance or repairs.

Inventory Management:

  • Track and record output and material usage, including waste management.

Workplace Organization:

  • Follow 6K (Good Housekeeping) practices to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Production Targets:

  • Strive to meet production targets and contribute to team efficiency.

Other Duties:

  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Production Team Leader.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Meet production targets and adhere to quality standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Practice continuous improvement (Kaizen) to enhance machine performance and productivity.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.

  • Machine Operation: Ability to operate machinery safely and responsibly.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools and basic machine maintenance procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Diploma or Certificate in Plant Operations, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Machine Operator or in a similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with machine operation and basic troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and handling machinery.
