Nutritionist

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management – Provide overall leadership and direction in production operations to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Process Oversight – Oversee all production processes and coordinate activities to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
  • KPI Achievement – Ensure production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met consistently while staying within budgetary constraints.
  • Quality & Production Planning – Coordinate the production of high-quality products according to agreed plans and within budget.
  • Target Setting – Establish and adjust production targets based on current conditions and customer needs.
  • Stock Management – Ensure proper stock levels of materials and spare parts, maintaining an optimum inventory based on demand.
  • Adherence to Procedures – Enforce strict stock management procedures and controls to prevent inefficiencies or shortages.
  • Risk Management – Develop and promote a culture of strong risk management practices in production to prevent disruptions and ensure continuous operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science, Animal production or related field.
  • Minimum Six (6) years experience in production and plant operations with at least, three (3) years at supervisory level.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Understanding statutory and regulatory requirements in feed milling operations.
  • Good understanding of Food Safety Management Systems and experience in their application in the food industry – Knowledge and good understanding of ISO 22000
  • In depth knowledge of the working principles of all milling equipment.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations and manage emergency protocols effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control within a milling setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Sales Representative

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Product Demonstrations – Conducting live product demonstrations for customers, showcasing features, benefits, and pricing options.
  • Sales and Targets – Meeting agreed-upon sales and collection targets with management oversight.
  • Customer Complaints – Addressing and resolving farmer complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction.
  • Farm Visits – Providing technical advice to farmers to help them achieve optimal returns from their livestock.
  • Relationship Building – Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, stockists, and distributors.
  • Presentations – Leading presentations at various industry events to promote products and services.
  • Distribution Network – Ensuring an efficient distribution system to make sure products are widely available and sales targets are met.
  • Market Feedback – Gathering insights about customer needs, competitor activity, and product performance to inform marketing strategies.
  • Customer Service – Providing high-quality service while adhering to credit control guidelines.
  • Reports and Documentation – Maintaining accurate daily reports on sales progress and customer activity, and sharing weekly reports with management.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years in technical sales within the animal feed industry is an added advantage.
  • Deep understanding of livestock management, livestock health, and extension services.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities; proactive problem-solving.
  • Good understanding of Food Safety Management Systems and experience in their application in the food industry – Knowledge and good understanding of ISO 22000 is an added advantage.
